Statement My painting practice is focused on combining portraiture and still
life in a representational style. My subject matter has recently
been concentrated on the environment of the art school as a source
of inspiration. The idea that the dirt, grime and splats of paint
embody past generations hopes and dreams, like a kind of surface
archaeology, has been important in my work thus far.
